The venue is more of an older historic building. It's a venue that is pretty much placed in the midst of farmland in a relatively remote, small location in Hastings. There is a loading dock area in the back of the venue where you can also keep your car parked for the duration of your event. They also have carts you can use to haul your equipment. Once you open the back door in the loading dock location, you will go through a stock room and then go through another set of doors that will take you exactly on a stage where you will be stationed for your gig. There will already be a table set up for you based upon request when you call the venue prior to the day of. The stage is elevated from the rest of the venue layout as it also overlooks everything else. So you will be able to see everyone in plain site and and everyone can see you. So there is just one set up you will be doing. 

The venue is designed for dinner and dance receptions mainly but i do believe it could be used as a wedding ceremony space also. Your set is on the stage which will enable more space for the dance floor which is just below you. There is a bar off to the side and the venue is very spaceous. The restrooms are across the room from the bar. The venue looks like a more modern barn from the inside with everything wooden mainly. This venue is also a very easy set up with no difficulty or hassle to set up. There are outlets on stage for you to plug up your equipment with the venue light switches just further down the side of you to dim the lights for the start of dance.

Load-In: 

Loading dock in the back of the venue. You can keep your car parked there for the duration of the event. As always, be sure to confirm that they have a table set up for you, if not they may not be aware, as this venue is styled a bit different than most.

Special Considerations: 

You will be elevated on a stage. That's perfect for dinner. For dance, you may want to put the speakers on the floor in front of the stage to keep them lower and make the music louder for those on the dance floor and quieter for those outside the dance floor. It prevents the music from carrying all over the venue. 

You will be only set-up in one place, which is nice.
