International Market Square

Overview:

International market square has a loading dock in the back of the building (north side). A guard will have to let you in through door and dock. It is about 50 yards to the square part for weddings. This place is HUGE. I suggest all djs to give your self an extra 30 mins to an hour on top of the required 90mins. There are multiple levels to this space and it is an open space which means very very high ceilings. I would suggest extra extensions power cords and xlr cords. Ceremonies are usually 75 feet from where DJs are set. Even though it is a big space with multiple levels everything is pretty much in that space so it’s not hard to gather people. With that said, because of it being so big you will have to utilize the microphone and make speakers extra loud to get attention.

Load-in:

Loading dock on the back of the building. Guard will have to let you in through the door.

Logistics/Layout:

Everything is in the main space of the building. Ask for extra extension cords and XLR cords if a ceremony is taking place. Give yourself an extra 30/60 minutes to load in and figure out the best way to deal with the high ceilings and large room.

Challenges

Big, tall building with very high ceilings. Make sure speakers are louder than normal in order to get the microphone to everybody in the space. If you are having trouble with echoes, keep the speakers lower than normal, if you need to put them on the floor to contain the sound, that will be fine.
