There are two ballrooms at Majestic Oaks Golf Course. Call ahead of time to see which one you'll be in. They're both on the main level and are pretty much right next to each other. You can pull your car right up to the door and begin unloading your gear for the reception.
It's a pretty straight forward venue with no real quirks, with the exception of a ceremony. If you're doing a ceremony, it's probably going to be outside and about 200 yards from the main clubhouse where the ballrooms are located. It's a good idea to call beforehand to see if they have a cart you can use at the venue. If they don't have any carts, let me know, we can set you up with one of our collapsable carts. This will be very helpful in getting the gear for the ceremony down to the ceremony location. I'd suggest using just one speaker for the ceremony and then having a speaker already set up in the reception ballroom. Once the ceremony ends, plug the laptop (or an iPod if you have one) into the speaker to immediately start playing music for cocktail hour. Then start tearing down the ceremony gear and move it over to the reception.
Load In:
You can park right by the door while you're loading in which makes load in pretty painless. With that said, if you're in the far ballroom, it can be a decent walk out to where you're setting up so don't be afraid to ask for a cart.
Challenges:
Ceremony can be challenging being that it's outside and pretty far away from the main ballroom. See the overview.
