Rush Creek Golf Course

Overview:

From DJ Mike H:

Load-in is pretty easy. You can pull up right to the door and move your equipment in. Call ahead of time because one of the doors is right next to the ballroom, but is often times locked. It's much more convenient to use that one, but either will work just fine.

Ceremony happens just outside of the main ballroom outdoors. It's a really easy transition from the reception location to the ceremony.

Kendra is the venue manager, she's very friendly and helpful, be sure to get to know her throughout the event.

It's pretty easy stuff once you get all set up and good to go for the reception. The room is big, but not huge and there's a lot of room over by the dance floor. No tables are moved for the dance floor or anything like that. Rectangle room, no quirky L shapes or anything.

Load In:

There is a door right by the ballroom. Call ahead of time and ask if that will be unlocked. Will make things easier for you. If you're looking for a bit of a workout, you can just load in through the main door. It's longer, but not ridiculous.

Special Considerations:

Rush Creek is a very nice place. People spend a lot of money to have their wedding there and have a different set of expectations for everybody based on the amount of money they're spending, even if they're not breaking the bank on the DJ.

We have a good relationship with the venue and want to keep it that way. Follow the venue rules and be sure to ask the basic questions during the venue call.

It's not a terribly difficult venue once you're all set up, but it is pretty big. Not a bad idea to use their house microphone.

Extra Venue Call Questions:

Will the door by the ballroom be open when I load in?

Do you have a house microphone that can be used for speeches?
