The Fountain Room: Lumber Exchange Building

Overview

From DJ Matt R:
Load in is a bear. There is no set parking place. Cocktails happen in one area, essentially a hallway, and on a different floor from where the reception takes place. You will compete with The Shout House and any band that is playing there. Strange set up, you are in a corner, away   from the head table.  Very high ceilings, but acoustics aren't bad
Load-in

No set parking place, which makes load in more difficult than normal. Ask ahead where they'd like you to load in and ask if they have a cart you could use. If they don't, ask me for a cart and I'll hook you up.

Challenges

You are a long ways from the head table. Do a good sound check to ensure the microphone sounds loud and clear all the way at the head table. The Shout House is connected and you will hear bits of the Shout House's music.

High ceilings, which could lead to echoes or a difficult time containing the sound. Keep the speakers low.

Extra Venue Call Questions:

Where do I load my equipment in?

Do you have a cart I can use?

Do you have a venue microphone? (If they do, use that for speeches as it will play through the entire venue and you won't have to worry about the distance from you and the head table)
