Prestwick Golf Club

Overview:

Prestwick is out in Woodbury, about 15/20 minutes from the warehouse. Our owner, Tim, lives on the course and we've developed a tight relationship with them this winter. They refer our services to all of our clients, so we do everything we can to keep our reputation stellar with them.

The load-in is a piece of cake. Pull up to the front door, turn on your flashers and load the equipment into the building. The main (and only) ballroom is located just to the left once you're in the ballroom.

It's not a terribly difficult ballroom, pretty big, but you'll be able to use their house microphone for speeches and announcements. Other than that, it's a long rectangle room with no surprises or tricks. 

Help out when you're able to. Alex, the venue coordinator, loves it when DJs help breakdown tables when they need to move tables from the dance floor. Any little thing you can do to help, will be greatly appreciated by Alex and the rest of their staff.

Alex also mentioned she likes DJs that are assertive and able to move the wedding to an according schedule. This is obviously a very basic element of our job, but it's extremely important. More than anything, the dinner has to start on time, as the staff preps the food for that exact time. If it starts before, they won't be ready. If it starts late, it will start to get cold.

Easy. Load your gear in through the front door.

Challenges:

It's pretty simple. There is a patio behind the ballroom. People will be both on the patio and the ballroom for cocktail hour. No need to have music out on the patio, as it's very small, but you should ask about that beforehand.

Special Considerations:

This venue refers us and likes us. We've bonded a lot in the 2015-2016 offseason, so we plan to improve our relationship after each and every DJ we send out.
