Mendakota Country Club

Mendakota Country Club is about 20 minutes from the warehouse. 
Depending on which way you go, it can also be around a 17 minute trip. The drive is not bad. 

Once you get to Mendakota Country club, be aware that you have to drive about half a mile before you actually see it. It is easy to think you are in the wrong place, however there is a very long driveway that leads you to the actual Country Club.

I think the load in is one of the easiest. The only thing that I did not care for were the two sets of double doors. Make sure you ask for the proper door stoppers. The ones they have don't work well to keep the doors open. 

The good thing is, you can park your car in front of those doors, so the walk to the DJ table is not very long. The room is usually set up the same way every time. The audience is in front of you, but the dance floor separates you from the tables. There is no flipping over of the room (in my experience).

Another positive is that social hour is usually in the same room as the reception dinner. There is a permanent bar that stays open all night.

On the other side of the club is another bar, where sometimes, the couple may have their social hour there. Whichever way, you should not have a hard time setting up the speakers in either space.

One thing I always look for in a venue is plugins. This venue has electrical pluugins located in several areas.

Finally, the staff is awesome. Paige manages the night. She appreciates coordinating with the DJ. Mike is one of the head bartenders and he also works well with the DJ.


Load In:

Park your car in front of the doors and walk your gear in. Pretty simple load-in.

Challenges:

Social hour can take place on the other side of the club. Be sure you know where the cocktail hour will be happening and have a plan for what you want to do. Ask me if you're unsure.
